CUBA

I took the picture to the left & below. These are Cuba pre-hurricane circa 2003. Cuba is a country surrounded by water and it's cities are often at or near sea level.It's people are not "middle-class" as Castro would tell the world.I went there. I was on the malecon (waterfront), in the 5th street tunnel, and through the city and with the people- all of which we saw for about 30 seconds on CNN.

And I'm the operator of the receive area- I take microwave feeds and satellite shots and edit tape with an avid and roll feeds and do lots of tricky searches. The only thing that sucks is the commute. Seriously, I have to travel about 45 minutes each way right now- all that will change soon but today I saw a huge steel container, perhaps 8 feet square, sitting in the middle of I-40. MF

So I saw the Rolling Stones the other night- they sounded pretty good (the stadium in charlotte NC is brand new) and the show was full of classic songs you'd recognise except for a 30 minute section in the middle.
